An unemployed young man from a very poor family was traveling in the train to go to another city in search of a job. At home, only a vegetable was made, so he kept only roti for food on the way.(अत्यंत गरीब परिवार का एक  बेरोजगार युवक  नौकरी की तलाश में  किसी दूसरे शहर जाने के लिए  रेलगाड़ी से  सफ़र कर रहा था | घर में कभी-कभार ही सब्जी बनती थी, इसलिए उसने रास्ते में खाने के लिए सिर्फ रोटीयां ही रखी थी |)

After halfway through, he started feeling hungry, and took out roti from Tiffin and started eating. The way to eat his food was a bit strange, he took a piece of bread and put it inside the Tiffin as if he was eating something else with the bread, while he had only roti !! His actions were shocked to see this and other travelers nearby. The young man takes a piece of bread every time and puts it in a tiffin of lies and account. Everyone was wondering why that young man was doing this. After all, one person did not live and he asked him why you are doing such a thing, you do not have a vegetable, and if you put a piece of bread in an empty tiffin, then eat it as if it is a vegetable(आधा रास्ता गुजर जाने के बाद उसे भूख लगने लगी, और वह टिफिन में से रोटीयां निकाल कर खाने लगा | उसके खाने का तरीका कुछ अजीब था , वह रोटी का  एक टुकड़ा लेता और उसे टिफिन के अन्दर कुछ ऐसे डालता मानो रोटी के साथ कुछ और भी खा रहा हो, जबकि उसके पास तो सिर्फ रोटीयां थीं!! उसकी इस हरकत को आस पास के और दूसरे यात्री देख कर हैरान हो रहे थे | वह युवक हर बार रोटी का एक टुकड़ा लेता और झूठमूठ का टिफिन में डालता और खाता | सभी सोच रहे थे कि आखिर वह युवक ऐसा क्यों कर रहा था | आखिरकार  एक व्यक्ति से रहा नहीं गया और उसने उससे पूछ ही लिया की भैया तुम ऐसा क्यों कर रहे हो, तुम्हारे पास सब्जी तो है ही नहीं फिर रोटी के टुकड़े को हर बार खाली टिफिन में डालकर ऐसे खा रहे हो मानो उसमे सब्जी हो |)

Then the young man replied, "Brother, this is not a vegetable in the empty lid but I am thinking that I am eating a lot of it, I am eating roti with ethics."(तब उस युवक  ने जवाब दिया, “भैया , इस खाली ढक्कन में सब्जी नहीं है लेकिन मै अपने मन में यह सोच कर खा रहा हू की इसमें बहुत सारा आचार है,  मै आचार के साथ रोटी खा रहा हू  |”)

Then the person asked, "Are you eating dry roti by thinking of ethics in the lid, do you taste the ethics?"(फिर व्यक्ति ने पूछा , “खाली ढक्कन में आचार सोच कर सूखी रोटी को खा रहे हो तो क्या तुम्हे आचार का स्वाद आ रहा है ?”)

"Yes, it's coming, I'm eating a lot with pickle and I'm feeling great", the young man responded.(“हाँ, बिलकुल आ रहा है , मै रोटी  के साथ अचार सोचकर खा रहा हूँ और मुझे बहुत अच्छा भी लग रहा है |”, युवक ने जवाब दिया|)

The neighbors also heard about this, and one person from amongst them said, "When you had to think, then you thought of peas and paneer at the place of ethics, you think royal cabbage .... According to your saying, if you thought of conduct, then taste of ethics came and then it would taste if you thought about delicious things. If you had to think, then why should you think so big when thinking about it? "(उसके इस बात को आसपास के यात्रियों ने भी सुना, और उन्ही में से एक व्यक्ति बोला , “जब सोचना ही था तो तुम आचार की जगह पर मटर-पनीर सोचते, शाही गोभी सोचते….तुम्हे इनका स्वाद मिल जाता | तुम्हारे कहने के मुताबिक तुमने आचार सोचा तो आचार का स्वाद आया तो और स्वादिष्ट चीजों के बारे में सोचते तो उनका स्वाद आता | सोचना ही था तो भला  छोटा क्यों सोचे तुम्हे तो बड़ा सोचना चाहिए था |”)

A man went to haircut on his hairdresser's shop as usual. Barber said, "Look, brother, I do not trust you in the existence of God."(नाई  ने  कहा , “ देखिये भैया ,  आपकी  तरह  मैं  भगवान्  के  अस्तित्व  में  यकीन  नहीं  रखता .”)

"Why do you say that?", The man asked.(“ तुम  ऐसा  क्यों  कहते  हो ?”, आदमी  ने  पूछा .)

"Hey, it's very easy to understand, just go to the street and you will understand that God is not there. Tell me if there were Gods so many people were sick? So many children were orphans? "(“अरे , ये  समझना  बहुत  आसान  है , बस  गली  में  जाइए  और  आप  समझ  जायेंगे  कि  भगवान्   नहीं  है . आप  ही  बताइए  कि  अगर भगवान्  होते  तो  क्या  इतने  लोग  बीमार  होते ?इतने  बच्चे  अनाथ  होते ? अगर  भगवान्  होते  तो  किसी  को  कोई  दर्द  कोई  तकलीफ  नहीं  होती ”, नाई  ने  बोलना  जारी  रखा , “ मैं  ऐसे  भगवान  के  बारे  में  नहीं  सोच  सकता  जो  इन  सब  चीजों  को  होने  दे . आप ही बताइए कहाँ है भगवान ?”)

Man stopped for a moment, thought something, but the debate did not increase, so it remained silent.(आदमी  एक  क्षण  के  लिए  रुका  , कुछ  सोचा , पर  बहस  बढे  ना  इसलिए  चुप  ही  रहा .)

Barber finished his work and the man got out of the shop thinking something and got away standing some distance. . After waiting for some time, a long-bearded man-faced man appeared at that side, seeing it, seeing how long he had been bathing-was not washed.(नाई  ने  अपना  काम  ख़तम  किया  और  आदमी  कुछ सोचते हुए  दुकान  से  बाहर  निकला और कुछ दूर जाकर खड़ा हो गया. . कुछ देर इंतज़ार करने के बाद उसे  एक  लम्बी  दाढ़ी – मूछ  वाला  अधेड़  व्यक्ति  उस तरफ आता दिखाई  पड़ा , उसे  देखकर  लगता  था  मानो  वो  कितने  दिनों  से  नहाया-धोया ना   हो .)

The man immediately went back to the barber shop and said, "Do not know that barber in this world!"(आदमी  तुरंत  नाई  कि  दुकान  में  वापस  घुस  गया  और  बोला , “ जानते  हो इस दुनिया में नाई नहीं होते !”)

"How are they not?", Barber asked, "I am in front of you right now !!" "(“भला  कैसे  नहीं  होते  हैं ?” , नाई  ने  सवाल  किया , “ मैं  साक्षात  तुम्हारे  सामने  हूँ!! ”)

"No," said the man, "they are not, or else there is no longer a bearded beard - but there is a long beard of that man in front of that person."(“नहीं ” आदमी  ने  कहा , “ वो  नहीं  होते  हैं  वरना  किसी  की  भी  लम्बी  दाढ़ी – मूछ  नहीं  होती  पर  वो देखो सामने उस आदमी की कितनी लम्बी दाढ़ी-मूछ है !!")

"Oh no, brother-in-law is like a barber, but many people do not come to us."(“ अरे नहीं भाईसाहब नाई होते हैं लेकिन  बहुत से लोग  हमारे  पास  नहीं  आते .” नाई   बोला)

But remember that on the second day after sunset I will take it back from you.(एक बार की बात है कि एक शिष्य अपने गुरु का बहुत आदर-सम्मान किया करता था |गुरु भी अपने इस शिष्य से बहुत स्नेह करते थे लेकिन  वह शिष्य अपने अध्ययन के प्रति आलसी और स्वभाव से दीर्घसूत्री था |सदा स्वाध्याय से दूर भागने की कोशिश  करता तथा आज के काम को कल के लिए छोड़ दिया करता था | अब गुरूजी कुछ चिंतित रहने लगे कि कहीं उनका यह शिष्य जीवन-संग्राम में पराजित न हो जाये|आलस्य में व्यक्ति को अकर्मण्य बनाने की पूरी सामर्थ्य होती है |ऐसा व्यक्ति बिना परिश्रम के ही फलोपभोग की कामना करता है| वह शीघ्र निर्णय नहीं ले सकता और यदि ले भी लेता है,तो उसे कार्यान्वित नहीं कर पाता| यहाँ तक कि  अपने पर्यावरण के प्रति  भी सजग नहीं रहता है और न भाग्य द्वारा प्रदत्त सुअवसरों का लाभ उठाने की कला में ही प्रवीण हो पता है | उन्होंने मन ही मन अपने शिष्य के कल्याण के लिए एक योजना बना ली |एक दिन एक काले पत्थर का एक टुकड़ा उसके हाथ में देते हुए गुरु जी ने कहा –‘मैं तुम्हें यह जादुई पत्थर का टुकड़ा, दो दिन के लिए दे कर, कहीं दूसरे गाँव जा रहा हूँ| जिस भी लोहे की वस्तु को तुम इससे स्पर्श करोगे, वह स्वर्ण में परिवर्तित हो जायेगी| पर याद रहे कि दूसरे दिन सूर्यास्त के पश्चात मैं इसे तुमसे वापस ले लूँगा|’)

The disciple was very pleased to find this opportunity but due to being lazy, he spent the first day imagining that when he had a lot of gold then he would be happy, happy, prosperous and satisfied, so many servants would be He will not even have to take water for drinking. Then on the second day when he got up in the morning, he was well remembered that today is the second and the last day to get gold. He firmly believed that today he will take advantage of the black stone given by Guruji. He decided that he would buy big things from the market by buying iron and transforming them into gold. But due to this incident, the disciple found a great lesson: he began to regret his laziness, he understood that laziness is a curse for his life and he prays that he will never steal from work anymore Become a caring, alert and active person.(शिष्य इस सुअवसर को पाकर बड़ा प्रसन्न हुआ लेकिन आलसी होने के कारण उसने अपना पहला दिन यह कल्पना करते-करते बिता दिया कि जब उसके पास बहुत सारा स्वर्ण होगा तब वह कितना प्रसन्न, सुखी,समृद्ध और संतुष्ट रहेगा, इतने नौकर-चाकर होंगे कि उसे पानी पीने के लिए भी नहीं उठाना पड़ेगा | फिर दूसरे दिन जब वह  प्रातःकाल जागा,उसे अच्छी तरह से स्मरण था कि आज स्वर्ण पाने का दूसरा और अंतिम दिन है |उसने मन में पक्का विचार किया कि आज वह गुरूजी द्वारा दिए गये काले पत्थर का लाभ ज़रूर उठाएगा | उसने निश्चय किया कि वो बाज़ार से लोहे के बड़े-बड़े सामान खरीद कर लायेगा और उन्हें स्वर्ण में परिवर्तित कर देगा. दिन बीतता गया, पर वह इसी सोच में बैठा रहा की अभी तो बहुत समय है, कभी भी बाज़ार जाकर सामान लेता आएगा. उसने सोचा कि अब तो  दोपहर का भोजन करने के पश्चात ही सामान लेने निकलूंगा.पर भोजन करने के बाद उसे विश्राम करने की आदत थी , और उसने बजाये उठ के मेहनत करने के थोड़ी देर आराम करना उचित समझा. पर आलस्य से परिपूर्ण उसका शरीर नीद की गहराइयों में खो गया, और जब वो उठा तो सूर्यास्त होने को था. अब वह जल्दी-जल्दी बाज़ार की तरफ भागने लगा, पर रास्ते में ही उसे गुरूजी मिल गए उनको देखते ही वह उनके चरणों पर गिरकर, उस जादुई पत्थर को एक दिन और अपने पास रखने के लिए याचना करने लगा लेकिन गुरूजी नहीं माने और उस शिष्य का धनी होने का सपना चूर-चूर हो गया | पर इस घटना की वजह से शिष्य को एक बहुत बड़ी सीख मिल गयी: उसे अपने आलस्य पर पछतावा होने लगा, वह समझ गया कि आलस्य उसके जीवन के लिए एक अभिशाप है और उसने प्रण किया कि अब वो कभी भी काम से जी नहीं चुराएगा और एक कर्मठ, सजग और सक्रिय व्यक्ति बन कर दिखायेगा|)

Friends, everyone gets an opportunity from one to another in life, but many people simply lose them due to their laziness.
